Jump on da bed! Jump on da bed! I wanna play! Jump on da bed!
Jump on da bed! Jump on da bed! I wanna wanna play! Jump on da bed!

I know a little girl, her name is Brooke, she's at the ripe old age of 4.
She's always wanting dis and always dat, and she says, "Auntie Mary, gimme gimme more!"
But when she holds me close and squeezes me tight, or when she gives me a big, fat kiss, oh I can't say "No!" 'cause she's gonna blow, "Auntie Mary, can't you see that all I wanna do is…

Jump on da bed! Jump on da bed! I wanna play! Jump on da bed!
Jump on da bed! Jump on da bed! I wanna wanna play! Jump on da bed!

My little little Brooke, she is so cute. She loves to jump, jump on da bed!
Let's jump real high and touch the sky. And I don't really care if I'm gonna die.

Jump on da bed! Jump on da bed! I wanna play! Jump on da bed!
Jump on da bed! Jump on da bed! I wanna wanna play! Jump on da bed!

Stronger Backs

Let us not pray for a lighter load but a stronger back to carry.
Let us look above and to one another for strength and understanding.
Let us not pray for a lighter load but a stronger back to carry,
And we'll find that we can make it better than we ever dreamed before.

Let us not pray for wealth and power but for loved ones all around us.
Let us pull together and see the light in the eyes of one another.
Let us not pray for wealth and power but for loved ones all around us,
And we'll find that love can truly conquer all.

I try to find some meaning to this life.
I try to find some answers to make right.
I try to find some colors in the night.
I try to find some hope inside this fright.
Oh where can you turn when everything starts to burn around you?

Let us not pray for a lighter load but a stronger back to carry.
Let us look above and to one another for strength and understanding.
Let us not pray for a lighter load but a stronger back to carry,
And we'll find that love can truly conquer all.

I try to find some joy in everyday.
I try to find some friends along the way.
I try to find some peace, what do you say?
I try to find some patience, come what may.
Oh where can you turn when everything starts to burn around you?

Can you feel the terror that surrounds us?
Can you feel the fear that seeks to blind us?
Can you feel the love we need to bind us, keep us moving on?

Let us not pray for a lighter load but a stronger back to carry.
Let us look above and to one another for strength and understanding.
Let us not pray for a lighter load but a stronger back to carry,
And we'll find that we can make it better than we ever dreamed before.

Let us not pray for a lighter load but a stronger back to carry.
Let us look above and to one another for strength and understanding.
Let us not pray for a lighter load but a stronger back to carry,
And we'll find that we can make it.
And we'll find that we can make it.
And we'll find that we can make it after all!

Right Next To Me

Some say heaven's up above, filled with puffy clouds of love.
Why can't we see it's possible that heaven's right here, right next to me?

Some say God is way up high on his throne where angels fly.
Why can't we see it's possible that God is right here, right next to me?

Joy and peace and happiness here you come to me. Come to me.
I can feel myself start to reappear, dear.
I'm glad you are here.

Some say love's a fairy tale, tearing souls and doomed to fail.
Why can't we see it's possible that love is right here eternally?

Joy and peace and happiness here you come to me. Come to me.
I can feel myself start to reappear, dear.
I'm glad you are here.

Some say heaven's up above, filled with puffy clouds of love.
Why can't we see it's possible that heaven's right here, right next to me?

Emptiness Settles In
By Mary Gatchell

Sometimes we get thrown off our courses by what others do.
Sometimes cruelty, hate, and suffering find its way to you.
Sometimes darkness wins and conquers, changing all our views.

Why do we all bend down to fear, crippling us to tears?
Why do I try to be happy when I know it's just a fleeting thing?
Sorrow and grief don't seem to end when love ends and emptiness settles in.

Emptiness settles in.
Emptiness settles in.

Why do we cling on to the past when we know that nothing ever lasts?
Why does horror fuel us and drama, we crave?
Simple pleasures just aren't enough when love ends, and emptiness settles in.

Emptiness settles in.
Emptiness settles in.
Sometimes we get thrown off our courses by what others do.
Sometimes cruelty, hate, and suffering find its way to you.
Sometimes darkness wins and conquers, changing all our views.

I Can't Get Enough Of You
By Mary Gatchell

I can't get enough of you.
Believe me for it's true.
Even when I hold you tight, I just want more of you.

It's like breathing in the country air. None, by far, could ever compare.
To hold you 'til that final night, I won't cry, I won't be scared.

And yet that still won't quench my thirst, or douse my flame, or end this hurt.
I want you so with all my might.
For loving you, loving you, for loving you I have been cursed.

But what a blessed curse it is for being no one else but his.
You make my heart ignite and fill my soul and let me live.

I can't believe that you're really mine.
To think that all we needed was just a little time.
My flame is burning white.
I'll be yours and that's so fine.

And yet that still won't quench my thirst, or douse my flame, or end this hurt.
I want you so with all my might.
For loving you, loving you, for loving you I have been cursed.

And yet that still won't quench my thirst, or douse my flame, or end this hurt.
I want you so with all my might.
For loving you, loving you, for loving you I have been cursed.

You were there when I needed you most.
Never let me down, let me go alone.
You were there when I needed you most.
Never let me down, let me go alone.

We've been together, babe, for a very, very, very, very long time.
And don't you know, don't you know, I always will be there for you.
When you need me most baby, through the pain and the tribulations,
I will be there 'cause you were, you were…

You were there when I needed you most.
Never let me down, let me go alone.
You were there when I needed you most.
Never let me down, let me go alone.

When you're feeling down, I will lift you up.
I'll be there by your side. I'll be there by your side.
There is no doubt of what my love is all about.
Look to me and I'll be there.

When you're feeling down, I will lift you up.
I'll be there by your side. I'll be there by your side.
There is no doubt of what my love is all about.
Look to me, look to me, look to me and I'll be there.

'Cause you were there when I needed you most.
Never let me down, let me go alone.
You were there when I needed you most.
Never let me down, let me go alone.

Far Away

I know a place where I long to be.
A wondrous place of fond memories.
Where lovers meet under moonlit skies.
And children play from morning 'til night.

Won't you please take me by your side
To see the mountains reaching toward the sky.
To smell the green grass, taste the air.
To feel alive and know that you're there.

Far away, I will go.
To be free.
I just wanna go home.

To kiss the flowers, run through the fields.
To touch a rainbow to see how it feels.
How does it feel?
How does it feel?

We are here to celebrate on this happy day.
Human nature has its way of coming out okay.
No more time spent worrying, only time to play.
Only joy and happiness, love will find a way.

Come on one and come on all and leave your pain behind.
Know that there's always tomorrow and friends who are kind.
Jump and shout and scream with laughter and let your spirits fly!
Let me hear your celebrations, lift them to the sky!
Lift them to the sky!

Come together in harmony!

Still He Is Near

I have not seen him in three years.
I have not seen him but in dreams he appears.
I have not seen him but still he is near.

I never laughed so hard.
I never cried so hard.
I never stared into his eyes so hard.
The whispered friend I called my love.

What ever you wanted…
What ever you needed…
What ever you dreamed of…
I gave it to you.

What ever you asked for…
What ever you cared for…
What ever you desired…
I gave it to you.

But look you left me.
And I'm all alone here.
With just the memories of your kisses, I'm missing.
You told me nothing lasts forever.
Oh baby, aren't you clever.
To hide behind some line to keep me satisfied.

How could I be so hung up on you?
But that's all ending, 'cause I'm all over you.

I used to comfort myself by knowing that you and I…
We were under the same big, bright, and starry sky.
Controlling my passions inside I can't hide anymore.
I need to move on with life, sacrifice you and I no more.

When ever you called me…
When ever you came by…
When ever you cried on my shoulders…
I was by your side.

Who ever you're with now…
Who ever you're leading on…
I hope you're happy…
'cause I'm moving on.

But look you left me.
And I'm all alone here.
With just the memories of your kisses, I'm missing.
You told me nothing lasts forever.
Oh baby, aren't you clever.
To hide behind some line to keep me satisfied.

I loved you. I loved you. I loved you. I loved you.
I loved you. I loved you. I loved you.

I used to comfort myself by knowing that you and I…
We were under the same big, bright, and starry sky.
Controlling my passions inside I can't hide anymore.
I need to move on with life, sacrifice you and I no more.

Now

Now I'm gone, and it feels so good.
I can do whatever I want to do.
The time, at last, was right to move on with myself.
And now I'm here, hopefully, forever.

Now I'm free, and it feels so free!
Watch me now, I'm going to rule the world!
And I can fly up higher, higher than ever.
And now I'm here, hopefully, forever…
Forever…

The water you kept pouring on my wings, smothered me and
Suffocated all I had to give.
Why did you have to keep drowning all my joy, until I had no choice but to break free and run away?

How could you?
How could I?
How could you?
How could I let this happen to me?

Now I'm here, and it feels so real.
I didn't think I'd ever get back to me.
I've found a way to move on everyday.
And now I'm here…
And now I'm here…
Now I'm here forever…
Forever…
Forever…

Backyard

When I was just a little girl, my best friend and I, we'd see the world…
Exploring… in my backyard.
Amy was Louise and I was Clark, through unchartered territory we'd embark…
Exploring… in my backyard.

We'd go fishing in a brook.
Sit for hours with our string and hook.
We'd go fishing in the little brook.
Oh you know we never caught a thing with that hook and string!
Never got a fishy to cook! Oh well…

Amy and I would travel far, blazing trails and getting scars…
Exploring… in my backyard.
Catching bugs and climbing trees and dirtying our grubby knees…
Exploring… in my backyard.

We'd go fishing in a brook.
Sit for hours with our string and hook.
We'd go fishing in the little brook.
Oh you know we never caught a thing with that hook and string!
Never got a fishy to cook! Oh well…

Ba doot doot doot…

Looking for rocks and looking for sticks.
Jumping in leaves and getting our kicks.
Sacajawea had nothing on us.
Our goal was clear, "the swingset or bust!"

I Don't Want To Feel This Way
By Mary Gatchell

I called you last night to hear your soothing voice,
To feel your warmth and presence within me.
But the conversation, it turned for the worst.
And my cool, calm demeanor unleashed its pain and hurt.

But I want you to know that I love you.
It's just so hard when you're away,
And the demons start to prey,
And jealousy leads the way…

I don't want to feel this way.
I don't want to hurt you.
But sometimes when I'm with you I just loose myself.

I don't want to feel this way.
I don't want to hate you.
But can't you see that I can't hold you tight enough.

Tight enough.
I just love you so.

I want to crawl into your skin,
And cuddle close to you forever.
Now don't you fight me.
Don't you say a word.
What I feel down inside is the deepest hurt.

But I want you to know that I love you.
It's just so hard when you're away,
And the demons start to prey,
And jealousy leads the way…

I don't want to feel this way.
I don't want to hurt you.
But sometimes when I'm with you I just loose myself.

I don't want to feel this way.
I don't want to hate you.
But can't you see that I can't hold you tight enough.

Tight enough.
I just love you so.

Italian Stallion Casanova

I was walking along the streets of Siena,
With my little eyes gazing above.
I was dreaming and scheming of love and melodies when I,
Caught him a staring at me.

Oh "buon giorno!" he said, as I pinched myself all over.
"Come ti chiamo, andiamo, eh?"
I said "no parlo l'italiano. No capito!" but he,
Grabbed me and we sailed away!

Ba doot doot doot a doo dee…
Ba doot doot doot a doo dat dee…
Ba doot doot doot a doo dee…
Ba doot doot a doo dat…

He was so cool, so dark, and so un-American,
Italian Stallion Casanova man!
We didn't walk the walk, just talk the talk.
Oh lord, help me now!

I breathed in, I breathed out! That's all I can remember.
I lost myself, gone, in his arms.
Oh, the Italian Stallion Casanova played me like Puccini.
Oh no, I can't take his charms. Oh..

Ba doot doot doot a doo dee…
Ba doot doot doot a doo dat dee…
Ba doot doot doot a doo dee…
Ba doot doot a doo dat…

He took me down, was rough, with hands of Michelangelo,
Sculpting each and every curve.
Oh the Italian Stallion Casanova rocked me like thunder.
Italian Stallion Casanova!

Italian Stallion Casanova!

Time Goes So Slow

At last the day has come, but alas, I cannot go.
The reasons we've forgotten. The dreams we'll never know.
But I want you here so badly, but I know it can't be so.
And sadly, madly I just can't let you go.

And Time Goes So Slow, now that you're gone.
And I can't stop this pain from lingering on.

I want this hurt to end but I hope it lasts forever.
I know that we cannot be. This storm we cannot weather.
But it hurts so bad 'cause you're not the one to blame.
These visions of you keep running through to enslave my heart to shame.

And Time Goes So Slow, now that you're gone.
And I can't stop this pain from lingering on.

I know that I must be much stronger
To make it through this misery. I can't take it much longer.
So don't you accuse me of walking out on you,
When you know how much you hurt me, and the pain you put me through.

And Time Goes So Slow, now that you're gone.
And I can't stop this pain from lingering on.

Don't Go

It's not the same each time I hold your hand in mine.
I feel you, but you're not there.
Baby, please. Oh please.
I have you now.
Don't go.

Now's the time, to look into my hurting eyes
And see my desperate plea and my loneliness with you.
With you.
Without you.

Time and time again we meet,
Sharing what's dark and deep.
Baby, baby, please don't leave.
I have you now, don't ever go.

It's not the same, although I act as if it were.
I love you, just too much.
Baby please. Oh please.
I have you now.
I have you now.
I have you now.
Don't go.

Happy

For so long I dreamed of you,
Thinking that my whole love life was through.
Looking for that someone who can save me, thrill me, love me.
But in time I realized,
That you cannot search just only find
The one who really makes you who you are.
And that is you!

Then so unexpectedly,
You and I became more friendly.
And it blows my mind to know you fell in love with me.
And you know what I want to do?
Is to love and get it on with you.
And it makes me want to sing and dance and shout!
Look at us!

Oh I want you, so, oh so bad.
I never dreamed you'd be the one that was for me.
How you make me, so, oh so me.
Oh baby, can't you see
That we were meant to be?
Just look at us!

I'm in Like
By Mary Gatchell

I'm in like so it's alright.
I can go ahead and do it I won't put up a fight.
If I were in love, it would be sweet, but I'm not.
There ain't nothing in the world that that couldn't beat,
But like I said I'm only just in like, not love but it's alright with me.
I won't put up a fight.

So many times I'd say "No, no!" I was never one to just go with the flow,
But I'm changing and I wanna go and get it and not even regret it.
So many time I'd want to wait for that precious moment or that precious mate,
But I'm changing and I wanna go and get it.
I know I won't even regret.

It's alright, 'cause I'm in like.
It's okay, for today.
It's alright, 'cause I'm in like.
It's okay, for today.

I'm in like so it's just grand although I don't have the urge to roll in the sand with you.
Oh, pooh! But you'll just do, 'cause I like you.
And I think you like me too so let's pursue this thing, although it's just a fling.
And even though you're not that great and just an eensy, weensy, teeny, weeny, itty, bitty, overweight.

So many times I'd stop the show, if my heart wasn't in it I had to go,
But I'm changing and I wanna go and get it and not even regret it.
So many times I'd tell myself "It's not worth to go below the belt!".
But, I'm changing and I wanna go and get it. I know I won't even regret it.

It's alright, 'cause I'm in like.
It's okay, for today.
It's alright, 'cause I'm in like.
It's okay, for today.
It's okay, for today.
It's okay, for today.

Indigo Rose

Don’t know what to give you, you’re too good for any gift.
Want to give you the moon the stars, but they already exist.
Don’t know what to say to you, you’re too wise for any words.
I want to recite the most beautiful poetry you’ve ever heard.

But that won’t do. That won’t do.

Don’t know how to hold you, you’re too soft for my touch.
Want to keep you safe and warm, but I’m afraid it’d be too much.
Don’t know how to love you, but I know I want to try.
Want to have you close to me, forever by my side.

But that won’t do. That just won’t do.

I’ll have to search the world far and wide for something just for you.
Something to express my love, but nothing will do.
I’ll have to search the world far and wide for what, I do not know.
Something one of a kind, like you.

Like an Indigo Rose, Indigo Rose.
I want you to know, you’re my Indigo Rose.
Indigo Rose, Indigo Rose, I want you to know. You’re my Indigo Rose.

Don’t know what to sing for you, your melodies are far too pure.
Want to write you a symphony, a masterpiece you adore.
Don’t know what to play for you, so that you’ll never go.
Want the whole wide world for you and so much more.

I want somebody to knock me off my feet.
I want somebody to hit me so hard I can't see.
I want somebody to rock my world all around.
I want somebody to get me so lost, I can't be found.

I want somebody to shake the ground that I walk.
I want somebody to blow my mind whenever he talks.
I want somebody who knows the beats of my heart.
I want somebody for peace, for love, and beautiful art.

Wanting you. Wanting you. Wanting you. Wanting you.

I want somebody who's full of compassion and light.
I want somebody who stands up strong for whatever is right.
I want somebody with passion, with drive, with guts.
I want somebody who's balls to the wall, and never gives up.

I want somebody who knows how to take control.
I want somebody who knows how to get inside my soul.
I want somebody who challenges me and sets me afire.
I want somebody who lives out all his dreams and desires.

Wanting you. Wanting you. Wanting you. Wanting you.
Wanting you. Wanting you. Wanting you. Wanting you.

I want somebody.
I want somebody.
I want somebody.
I want somebody.

Beautiful Girls

My beautiful girls, what are you doing?
You're selling yourselves too short.
Going out with guys who try to hold you back and sacrifice.

My beautiful girls, where are you going?
Nowhere way too fast.
Don't waste another moment in this precious life making this last, making this last.

I've heard it all before, "Baby, spend your life with me.
We can get a house, a dog, and a family.
Don't you worry all about your hopes and your dreams
Because we love each other and that'll make our lives complete,
Because we love each other and that'll make our lives complete."

Oh, my beautiful girls.
Open your eyes and see.
All his love is just his need to have someone under his wing.

And the leaves they turn and the fires they burn,
And he just won't let you be.
Your heart your head cries out to him,
"Just let me be free. Just let me be me!

"You can make me bleed, but you can't make me bleed for you.
You can make me fall, but you can't make me fall for you.
You can hold on tight but it'll only make me run farther, faster, higher, stronger.
Try real hard but I'm gonna get away from you. I said try real hard but I'm gonna get away from you!"

Security is so tempting even when you're not sure.
Planning, knowing, where you're going,
Makes you feel so secure,
Oh but, security is so dangerous especially when you're not sure.
Just push yourself to have the best and somehow you'll endure.

My beautiful girls, where are you going?
Nowhere way too fast.
Don't waste another moment in this precious life making this last, making this last.

War and Peace

There is no greatness, where there is no goodness.
There is no honor where there is no truth.
There is no wisdom, where there is no compassion.
There is no glory where there is no mercy.

I'm sitting in a small café on the side of the Lower East.
Breathing in that open vibe, reading "War and Peace".
I'm sitting in a small café, where the people just let you be.
Everyone is welcome here, the way the world should be.
The way the world should be.

There is no ocean where there is no stream.
There is no mountain where there is no valley.
There is no melody where there is no beat.
There is no you where there is no me.

I'm sitting in a small café on the side of the Lower East.
Breathing in that open vibe, reading "War and Peace".
I'm sitting in a small café, where the pace is nice and slow.
They got Bob Marley playing on the radio. On the radio.

Lord knows the time is right to find a way to come together happily, forever weathering the storm, just a groovin' along.
Groovin' along.
Groovin' along.
Groovin' along.

I'm sitting in a small café on the side of the Lower East.
Breathing in that open vibe, reading "War and Peace".
I'm sitting in a small café, where the people just let you be.
Everyone is welcome here, the way the world should be.
The way the world should be.

I'm sitting in a small café in a country where money rules.
The more you have the more you get, the more you're looking cool.
I'm sitting in a small café while the poor keep getting screwed.
"I made my money by myself, now tell me why should I help you?
Why should I help you?"

Lord knows the time is right to find a way to come together happily, forever weathering the storm, just a groovin' along.
Groovin' along.
Groovin' along.
Groovin' along.

Digging For Clouds
By Mary Gatchell

Bushels and pecks of darkness.
Barrels and heaps of hate.
There are loads and loads of loathing.
Isn't this world just great?

There are sunbeams of suffering.
There are raindrops of revenge.
There are snowflakes of silence
Hiding the wrongs of men.

What are we doing?
What have we done?
And tell me where do we go from here to make the world one?

We're going out and killing the bad boys of the world.
We're going out and killing for peace, for peace, for peace.
We're going out to kill 'cause it's the only choice we have to bring the whole wide world together.

We're going out and killing so we won't be afraid no more.
We're going out and killing to gain some security, finally.
We're going out to kill to make this place a little better for all humanity.

But, I say hold on a minute.
Not too fast.
Can we find another way to make this world last a little longer?

Killing for peace is like digging for clouds.
It's like making love to get virginity.
Killing for peace is like fishing for stars.
You can try real hard but you're not gonna get very far.

Can you imagine people talking things out?
Can you imagine countries talking things out?
Can you imagine people giving love, countries giving love?
Can you imagine accepting, forgiving, living, helping, sharing, serving, growing?
Singing love songs again, my friend?

I wanna make my country proud.
And I wanna make my whole world proud.
And I'm gonna scream real loud.
'Cause I don't want no poor boys and girls to die for some rich, white man's war.
No I don't! No I don't! No I don't!

What are we doing?
What have we done?
And tell me where do we go from here?
Just hold on a minute.
Not too fast.
Can we find another way to make this world last a little longer?

Killing for peace is like digging for clouds.
It's like making love to get virginity.
Killing for peace is like fishing for stars.
You can try real hard but you're not gonna get very far.

Killing for peace is like digging for clouds.
It's like making love to get virginity.
Killing for peace is like fishing for stars.
You can try real hard but you're not gonna get very far.

Swimming through this stream of our world.
Floating down, colliding, mixing drops.
Should we lie, should we hide how we feel
When we're all connected in the flow.

Broken glass feels beautiful to my feet.
What are your intentions for deceit?
Think about what drives your soul.
Pain is real, so kneel. Learn to feel.

Found my freedom. Found my religion. Found my body. Found my heart.
Found my lungs and found my nerve.
Brutal honesty has set me free.

Found my breath. Found my god. Found my blood. Found my soul.
Found my drive and found my pride.
Brutal honesty has set me free.

Freedom. Freedom.

Find your freedom. Find your religion. Find your body. Find your heart.
Find your lungs and find your nerve.
Brutal honesty will set you free.

Find your breath. Find your god. Find your blood. Find your soul.
Find your drive and find your pride.
Brutal honesty will set you free.
Freedom. Freedom. Find your freedom.
Freedom. Freedom. Find your freedom.

Brutal honesty has set me,
Brutal honesty has set me,
Brutal honesty will set you free, free, free.

Baby, baby, my sweet love.
Baby, baby, you're sent from above.
The way that you hold me makes me free, it makes me believe
In a perfect love, a perfect love, a perfect way to be.

Baby, baby, so gentle and true.
Baby, baby, I'm so glad I found you.
'Cause the way that you hold me makes me free, it makes me believe
In a perfect love, a perfect love, a perfect way to be.

The way you surround me so selflessly.
Sweet like a honey
Being with you,
Loving you is so easy to do.

My little baby, baby, my sweet love.
Baby, baby, you're sent from above.
'Cause the way that you hold me makes me free, it makes me believe
In a perfect love, a perfect love, a perfect way to be.

Green Card

I thought it was love, oh I thought it was love.
I thought it was love, but it was just a green card.
I thought it was love, oh I thought it was love.
I thought it was love, but it was just a green card.

I met a guy under the Tuscan sky.
He called himself Raf, how he made me laughy laugh.
He was a smooth talking hottie with a twelve pack of biscotti.
Yummy in my tummy like sweet cheese and honey.

He played the guitar so with me he got far,
Romanticizing, fantasizing under the stars.
He was a hot spring, Wow!, every time he said, "Ciao!",
Creamy like Nannini and dreamy, dreamy cantuccini.

He said "Ti amo, ti amo. Ti volgio molto bene."
"I love you, I love you, I want you more than any
In the world. Why don't you come with me and tie the knot?"
I thought about it, and then I said, "Why not?"

Ding dong, ding dong, the wedding bell toll,
Then he said, "Mary, dear, I've got to roll.
And be a crazy Italian in the land of the free.
Grazie for letting me stay here legally!"

I thought it was love, oh I thought it was love.
I thought it was love, but it was just a green card.
I thought it was love, oh I thought it was love.
I thought it was love, but it was just, just a green card.

The American girls are so high in demand.
I thought it was 'cause we know how to handle a man,
And we're cute, and we're fun, and we're cuddley and sweet.
But little do we know of their plan to deceit.

To infiltrate the nation "to better foreign relations".
To get some sooky-sooky by feeding us some cookies.
A little "Grazie, grazie" here and a "Prego, prego" there,
They think will get them breathing American air.

There was Francesco, Antonio, Alessio, and Massimo,
Gianni, Giovanni, Aldo, Paolo, and Fafresco.
Giacomo, Fillipo, Roberto, and Davide.
Leonardo, Leonardo, Leonardo, Leonardo.

Marco, Fabio, Vincenzo, and Pietro,
Beneditu, PerLuigi, Guiseppi, and Diego,
Maximus, GianLuca, Fabrizio and Nico,
Leonardo, Leonardo, Leonardo, Leonardo, Leonardo, Leonardo, Leonardo, Leonardo, Leonardo, Leonardo, Leonardo, oh and Leonardo.

I thought it was love, oh I thought it was love.
I thought it was love, but it was just a green card.
I thought it was love, oh I thought it was love.
I thought it was love, but it was just, just a green card.

This one night my friend traded one of her panties,
For some boxer briefs belonging to a boy from Chianti.
He made her pesto, then he wrote a manifesto
Saying, "Marry me! Marry me! Presto! Presto! Presto!"

She thought it was love, oh she thought it was love.
She thought it was love, but it was just a green card.
She thought it was love, oh she thought it was love.
She thought it was love, but it was just, just a green card.

I'm leaving your country! I'm leaving forever!
But, first let me get some of your Italian leather,
And maybe some gelato, a tomato or two.
But, let me make this clear that you and I are through.

Down with the green card! Down with immigration!
Senators please we need an alteration
In the law preventing this injustice of the heart.
No more weddings, no more weddings,
No more weddings, no more weddings,
No more weddings for a green card!

I thought it was love, oh I thought it was love.
I thought it was love, but it was just a green card.
I thought it was love, oh I thought it was love.
I thought it was love, but it was just, just a green card.

I thought it was love, oh I thought it was love.
I thought it was love, but it was just a green card.
I thought it was love, oh I thought it was love.
I thought it was love, but it was just, just a green card.
