I'm in like so it's alright.
I can go ahead and do it I won't put up a fight.
If I were in love, it would be sweet, but I'm not.
There ain't nothing in the world that that couldn't beat,
But like I said I'm only just in like, not love but it's alright with me.
I won't put up a fight.
It's alright, 'cause I'm in like.
It's okay, for today.
It's alright, 'cause I'm in like.
It's okay, for today.
I'm in like so it's just grand although I don't have the urge to roll in the sand with you.
Oh, pooh! But you'll just do, 'cause I like you.
And I think you like me too so let's pursue this thing, although it's just a fling.
And even though you're not that great and just an eensy, weensy, teeny, weeny, itty, bitty, overweight.
It's alright, 'cause I'm in like.
It's okay, for today.
It's alright, 'cause I'm in like.
It's okay, for today.
It's okay, for today.
It's okay, for today.
Don’t know what to give you, you’re too good for any gift.
Want to give you the moon the stars, but they already exist.
Don’t know what to say to you, you’re too wise for any words.
I want to recite the most beautiful poetry you’ve ever heard.
But that won’t do. That won’t do.
Don’t know how to hold you, you’re too soft for my touch.
Want to keep you safe and warm, but I’m afraid it’d be too much.
Don’t know how to love you, but I know I want to try.
Want to have you close to me, forever by my side.
But that won’t do. That just won’t do.
I’ll have to search the world far and wide for something just for you.
Something to express my love, but nothing will do.
I’ll have to search the world far and wide for what, I do not know.
Something one of a kind, like you.
Like an Indigo Rose, Indigo Rose.
I want you to know, you’re my Indigo Rose.
Indigo Rose, Indigo Rose, I want you to know. You’re my Indigo Rose.
Don’t know what to sing for you, your melodies are far too pure.
Want to write you a symphony, a masterpiece you adore.
Don’t know what to play for you, so that you’ll never go.
Want the whole wide world for you and so much more.
Beautiful Girls

My beautiful girls, what are you doing?
You're selling yourselves too short.
Going out with guys who try to hold you back and sacrifice.
My beautiful girls, where are you going?
Nowhere way too fast.
Don't waste another moment in this precious life making this last, making this last.
I've heard it all before, "Baby, spend your life with me.
We can get a house, a dog, and a family.
Don't you worry all about your hopes and your dreams
Because we love each other and that'll make our lives complete,
Because we love each other and that'll make our lives complete."
Oh, my beautiful girls.
Open your eyes and see.
All his love is just his need to have someone under his wing.
And the leaves they turn and the fires they burn,
And he just won't let you be.
Your heart your head cries out to him,
"Just let me be free. Just let me be me!
"You can make me bleed, but you can't make me bleed for you.
You can make me fall, but you can't make me fall for you.
You can hold on tight but it'll only make me run farther, faster, higher, stronger.
Try real hard but I'm gonna get away from you. I said try real hard but I'm gonna get away from you!"
Security is so tempting even when you're not sure.
Planning, knowing, where you're going,
Makes you feel so secure,
Oh but, security is so dangerous especially when you're not sure.
Just push yourself to have the best and somehow you'll endure.
My beautiful girls, where are you going?
Nowhere way too fast.
Don't waste another moment in this precious life making this last, making this last.
War and Peace

There is no greatness, where there is no goodness.
There is no honor where there is no truth.
There is no wisdom, where there is no compassion.
There is no glory where there is no mercy.
I'm sitting in a small café on the side of the Lower East.
Breathing in that open vibe, reading "War and Peace".
I'm sitting in a small café, where the people just let you be.
Everyone is welcome here, the way the world should be.
The way the world should be.
There is no ocean where there is no stream.
There is no mountain where there is no valley.
There is no melody where there is no beat.
There is no you where there is no me.
I'm sitting in a small café on the side of the Lower East.
Breathing in that open vibe, reading "War and Peace".
I'm sitting in a small café, where the pace is nice and slow.
They got Bob Marley playing on the radio. On the radio.
Lord knows the time is right to find a way to come together happily, forever weathering the storm, just a groovin' along.
Groovin' along.
Groovin' along.
Groovin' along.
I'm sitting in a small café on the side of the Lower East.
Breathing in that open vibe, reading "War and Peace".
I'm sitting in a small café, where the people just let you be.
Everyone is welcome here, the way the world should be.
The way the world should be.
I'm sitting in a small café in a country where money rules.
The more you have the more you get, the more you're looking cool.
I'm sitting in a small café while the poor keep getting screwed.
"I made my money by myself, now tell me why should I help you?
Why should I help you?"
Lord knows the time is right to find a way to come together happily, forever weathering the storm, just a groovin' along.
Groovin' along.
Groovin' along.
Groovin' along.
Digging For Clouds

Bushels and pecks of darkness.
Barrels and heaps of hate.
There are loads and loads of loathing.
Isn't this world just great?
There are sunbeams of suffering.
There are raindrops of revenge.
There are snowflakes of silence
Hiding the wrongs of men.
What are we doing?
What have we done?
And tell me where do we go from here to make the world one?
We're going out and killing the bad boys of the world.
We're going out and killing for peace, for peace, for peace.
We're going out to kill 'cause it's the only choice we have to bring the whole wide world together.
We're going out and killing so we won't be afraid no more.
We're going out and killing to gain some security, finally.
We're going out to kill to make this place a little better for all humanity.
But, I say hold on a minute.
Not too fast.
Can we find another way to make this world last a little longer?
Killing for peace is like digging for clouds.
It's like making love to get virginity.
Killing for peace is like fishing for stars.
You can try real hard but you're not gonna get very far.
Can you imagine people talking things out?
Can you imagine countries talking things out?
Can you imagine people giving love, countries giving love?
Can you imagine accepting, forgiving, living, helping, sharing, serving, growing?
Singing love songs again, my friend?
I wanna make my country proud.
And I wanna make my whole world proud.
And I'm gonna scream real loud.
'Cause I don't want no poor boys and girls to die for some rich, white man's war.
No I don't! No I don't! No I don't!
What are we doing?
What have we done?
And tell me where do we go from here?
Just hold on a minute.
Not too fast.
Can we find another way to make this world last a little longer?
Killing for peace is like digging for clouds.
It's like making love to get virginity.
Killing for peace is like fishing for stars.
You can try real hard but you're not gonna get very far.

Swimming through this stream of our world.
Floating down, colliding, mixing drops.
Should we lie, should we hide how we feel
When we're all connected in the flow.
Broken glass feels beautiful to my feet.
What are your intentions for deceit?
Think about what drives your soul.
Pain is real, so kneel. Learn to feel.
Found my freedom. Found my religion. Found my body. Found my heart.
Found my lungs and found my nerve.
Brutal honesty has set me free.
Found my breath. Found my god. Found my blood. Found my soul.
Found my drive and found my pride.
Brutal honesty has set me free.
Freedom. Freedom.
Find your freedom. Find your religion. Find your body. Find your heart.
Find your lungs and find your nerve.
Brutal honesty will set you free.
Find your breath. Find your god. Find your blood. Find your soul.
Find your drive and find your pride.
Brutal honesty will set you free.
Freedom. Freedom. Find your freedom.
Freedom. Freedom. Find your freedom.
Brutal honesty has set me,
Brutal honesty has set me,
Brutal honesty will set you free, free, free.

Baby, baby, my sweet love.
Baby, baby, you're sent from above.
The way that you hold me makes me free, it makes me believe
In a perfect love, a perfect love, a perfect way to be.
Baby, baby, so gentle and true.
Baby, baby, I'm so glad I found you.
'Cause the way that you hold me makes me free, it makes me believe
In a perfect love, a perfect love, a perfect way to be.
The way you surround me so selflessly.
Sweet like a honey
Being with you,
Loving you is so easy to do.
My little baby, baby, my sweet love.
Baby, baby, you're sent from above.
'Cause the way that you hold me makes me free, it makes me believe
In a perfect love, a perfect love, a perfect way to be.
Green Card

I thought it was love, oh I thought it was love.
I thought it was love, but it was just a green card.
I thought it was love, oh I thought it was love.
I thought it was love, but it was just a green card.
I met a guy under the Tuscan sky.
He called himself Raf, how he made me laughy laugh.
He was a smooth talking hottie with a twelve pack of biscotti.
Yummy in my tummy like sweet cheese and honey.
He played the guitar so with me he got far,
Romanticizing, fantasizing under the stars.
He was a hot spring, Wow!, every time he said, "Ciao!",
Creamy like Nannini and dreamy, dreamy cantuccini.
He said "Ti amo, ti amo. Ti volgio molto bene."
"I love you, I love you, I want you more than any
In the world. Why don't you come with me and tie the knot?"
I thought about it, and then I said, "Why not?"
Ding dong, ding dong, the wedding bell toll,
Then he said, "Mary, dear, I've got to roll.
And be a crazy Italian in the land of the free.
Grazie for letting me stay here legally!"
I thought it was love, oh I thought it was love.
I thought it was love, but it was just a green card.
I thought it was love, oh I thought it was love.
I thought it was love, but it was just, just a green card.
The American girls are so high in demand.
I thought it was 'cause we know how to handle a man,
And we're cute, and we're fun, and we're cuddley and sweet.
But little do we know of their plan to deceit.
To infiltrate the nation "to better foreign relations".
To get some sooky-sooky by feeding us some cookies.
A little "Grazie, grazie" here and a "Prego, prego" there,
They think will get them breathing American air.
There was Francesco, Antonio, Alessio, and Massimo,
Gianni, Giovanni, Aldo, Paolo, and Fafresco.
Giacomo, Fillipo, Roberto, and Davide.
Leonardo, Leonardo, Leonardo, Leonardo.
Marco, Fabio, Vincenzo, and Pietro,
Beneditu, PerLuigi, Guiseppi, and Diego,
Maximus, GianLuca, Fabrizio and Nico,
Leonardo, Leonardo, Leonardo, Leonardo, Leonardo, Leonardo, Leonardo, Leonardo, Leonardo, Leonardo, Leonardo, oh and Leonardo.
I thought it was love, oh I thought it was love.
I thought it was love, but it was just a green card.
I thought it was love, oh I thought it was love.
I thought it was love, but it was just, just a green card.
This one night my friend traded one of her panties,
For some boxer briefs belonging to a boy from Chianti.
He made her pesto, then he wrote a manifesto
Saying, "Marry me! Marry me! Presto! Presto! Presto!"
She thought it was love, oh she thought it was love.
She thought it was love, but it was just a green card.
She thought it was love, oh she thought it was love.
She thought it was love, but it was just, just a green card.
I'm leaving your country! I'm leaving forever!
But, first let me get some of your Italian leather,
And maybe some gelato, a tomato or two.
But, let me make this clear that you and I are through.
Down with the green card! Down with immigration!
Senators please we need an alteration
In the law preventing this injustice of the heart.
No more weddings, no more weddings,
No more weddings, no more weddings,
No more weddings for a green card!
I thought it was love, oh I thought it was love.
I thought it was love, but it was just a green card.
I thought it was love, oh I thought it was love.
I thought it was love, but it was just, just a green card.
I thought it was love, oh I thought it was love.
I thought it was love, but it was just a green card.
I thought it was love, oh I thought it was love.
I thought it was love, but it was just, just a green card.
